About Us
Flanders House is a unique new portal in New York: the 44th floor of the New York Times Building aims to be the gateway to Flanders and the United States. At this location, three services combine their forces:
• Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) provides information and support regarding bilateral trade, investment, and economic activity between Flanders and the northeast of the US. They offer a thorough knowledge of the American market and its economic and labor legislation, and support American investments in Flanders.
• The Tourist Office for Flanders, Belgium promotes Flanders as a sustainable and high-quality tourist and convention destination.
• Flanders House is set up as a Not-For-Profit in accordance with American law. Together with FIT and Tourism Flanders-Brussels, it is the point of reference for all Flemish actors, active in New York and the US, in a wide array of activities. You can find information on Flemish cultural activities in New York and the US, on educational and scientific exchange, on Flanders and on all the competences of its government. Flanders House is a one-stop shop for all Flemish and American partners that do not belong to the target audience of FIT and Tourism Flanders-Brussels. Flanders House can easily be reached by public transport: it is housed on the 44th floor of the New York Times Building, right across from Port Authority (buses from New York & New Jersey) and is also easily accessed via Subway Station Port Authority - 42nd Street - Times Square (lines N, R, Q, W, A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, S).
