Best Pizza in New York Made by a Belgian
In the magazine Every Day with Rachael Ray, the Food Network queen and talk show host names Motorino as the best pizza place on the East Coast. Motorino has been named the best New York slice for its marinara, Margherita and stracciatell pizzas, the TV foodie says.
The designation thrilled Mathieu Polombino, owner of the E. 12th St. pizzeria. Polombino has a Flemish mother and an Italian father. He was living in Moeskroen (Belgium) until he came to the United States in 2000.
