Genealogical Society of Flemish Americans

On May 24, at 7 pm, the GSFA will be hosting David Baeckelandt who will be presenting "The Flemish Contribution to the Discovery & Settlement of America", a talk on the close historical bonds between Flanders and North America. In addition, Mr. Baeckelandt will offer a brief update on the status of Flemish Studies in U.S. universities and several of the different Belgian clubs will offer an explanation of who they are and what they do. Belgian-American Club of Chicago

On May 26, at 12 pm, the Belgian American Club of Chicago will be organizing its annual Pub Crawl, starting at Bar On Buena, located in the Buena Park neighborhood at 910 W. Buena Ave, just west of N. Broadway and just east of the beautiful Saint Mary of the Lake Parish on N. Sheridan. Belgica, the Belgian Association at Stanford University, will be organizing lunches on May 14 and on May 30, between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm at Nexus.
