Woodward Avenue by Jef Geys Opened in Detroit
06/02/10
The exhibition of the acclaimed Belgian artist Jef Geys (born 1934), entitled Jef Geys: Woodward Avenue, opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit on Thursday and will be on view through July 25. The exhibition encompasses an expansion of Quadra Medicinale, an interdisciplinary research project, which was on view at the Venice Biennial last year. It consists of a new body of work, mostly detailed plans, inventories, descriptions, photos, and drawings that document the research. Flanders House is a major underwriter of the exhibition and co-hosted the opening reception.
