Screening "Unspoken" at the National Gallery
With the support of Flanders House, the young Flemish director Fien Troch's second feature Unspoken (2008) will be screened in the frame of the New Masters of European Cinema quarterly program at the National Gallery in Washington on Sunday, September 26 at 4.30 pm. The director will lead a post-screening discussion. This event is open to the public and admission to the museum is free of charge.
Troch's acclaimed feature debut, Someone Else's Happiness, was chosen to represent Belgium at the Oscars in 2008, lauded at the Thessaloniki Film Festival and later at the Premiers Plans Festival in Angers. Her screenplay for Unspoken was selected for Rotterdam's Cinemart, was included in the Residence section at the Cannes Film Festival and received funding from Flanders Image. Last year it was featured during the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
